Everything you need to know about using Truckbud, whether you're booking, partnering, or driving.
General Questions
Yes. The price shown at booking is based on the details you provide—addresses, distance, items, and access requirements like stairs or inside delivery. That price won’t change after you confirm unless something is added or changed at the time of the job. If that happens, your driver will always confirm with you before proceeding.
No unexpected charges.
Payment for your delivery is handled digitally through Truckbud—no in-person payment required.
Accepted payment methods:
• Credit cards
• Debit cards
• Apple / Google Pay
Truckbud does not accept cash.
You’ll only be prompted to complete payment once your driver arrives and your items are loaded, so you’re paying when the job is confirmed and ready to go.
Truckbud drivers are local Winnipeg operators who own pickup trucks or cargo vans and have experience handling large-item deliveries. Before completing jobs on the platform, drivers go through background checks and vehicle verification to ensure their vehicle is suitable and reliable.
You’ll receive their details and real-time SMS updates when they’re on the way, so you know exactly who to expect.
Yes. Same-day delivery is available across Winnipeg, depending on driver availability.
You can also schedule your delivery in advance and choose a morning, afternoon, or evening window that works for you.
Yes—someone needs to be present at both pickup and delivery. For pickup, that can be you or the seller. For delivery, someone should be available to receive the item, especially for inside delivery.
If you’re booking a Marketplace or Kijiji pickup, make sure the seller is ready and aware of the arrival window. Add any access details (buzz codes, parking, etc.) during booking so your driver can complete the job smoothly.
You can cancel or reschedule at no cost before a driver is dispatched. Once a driver is on the way, a cancellation fee may apply.
If your plans change, let us know as early as possible and we’ll work with you to adjust the booking.

Retail & Business
When a customer purchases a large item, your team books a delivery through the Truckbud partner portal in under two minutes, from any device. We match the job with a vetted local driver, your customer receives real-time updates from dispatch to drop-off, and Truckbud manages the delivery from there.
There’s no complex setup, and your team doesn’t need to manage logistics or coordinate drivers.
Yes. Same-day delivery is available across Winnipeg and surrounding areas. For retail partners, we plan ahead with you to support peak sales periods and increase the likelihood of same-day fulfillment when demand is highest. This gives your team a faster, more flexible delivery option compared to traditional large-item scheduling.
Truckbud delivers most large or bulky items that fit in a pickup truck or cargo van; furniture, appliances, mattresses, flooring, outdoor equipment, office furniture, building materials, and more. If it doesn’t fit in a standard car, there’s a strong chance we can deliver it, final confirmation happens at booking.
Truckbud handles all delivery communication and issue resolution directly with the customer. Drivers are vetted before completing jobs, and customers receive real-time updates throughout the delivery to reduce missed handoffs or confusion.
If an issue does occur, our team steps in to assess and resolve it quickly, including managing any claims process where applicable.
No. There are no minimums and no long-term contracts. You can use Truckbud as needed, whether that’s a few deliveries a week or higher volume. You only pay for completed deliveries.
Most partners start with a simple trial and scale based on results.
Most retail partners are up and running within a week. Setup includes a short onboarding, access to the partner portal, and a walkthrough of how your team will book deliveries. There’s no technical integration required to start.
Once that’s done, you’re ready to offer delivery immediately.
Truckbud currently operates across Winnipeg and nearby regions in Manitoba. If your business serves customers outside these areas, we confirm coverage during onboarding based on your typical delivery zones.
We’re expanding into new regions, and you can register interest if you’d like to be notified when coverage grows.
Driving with Truckbud
Truckbud is an on-demand delivery platform that connects independent drivers with customers and businesses that need help moving large or bulky items.
As a driver, you complete deliveries using your own vehicle and get paid per job.
A customer books a delivery for a large item—like a couch, mattress, or, appliance—between two locations.
You’ll receive the job details, including pickup and drop-off addresses, item type, and any access notes. You pick up the item, transport it, and complete the delivery.
You are an independent contractor, not an employee.
That means you control when you work, which jobs you accept, and you’re responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and operating costs. You’re also free to work with other platforms.
Yes. You’re never required to accept a job.
You’ll see available deliveries and can choose based on your schedule, route, and the type of item. There’s no penalty for declining a job you haven’t accepted.
You’re paid per completed delivery.
Payment is processed after each job and transferred to you digitally. Full details on timing and payout method are shared during onboarding.
To get started, you’ll need:
• A pickup truck or cargo van in good working condition
• A valid driver’s licence
• Active vehicle insurance
• A smartphone to receive and manage jobs
• The ability to safely lift large or bulky items
